Many have become restless to remain confined at home. A bit of food for thought for everyone.
This girl was hiding in a hidden cupboard at the back of the house. Not much, 761 days, means 25 months, that is a little more than two years. The area where it was hidden is 450 square feet. And there were eight people including the girl in that place.
Staying in that place for two years, waking up, cleaning the bathroom, eating a little, staying there in the evening, watching the night. Outside, Nazi troops, the Gestapo are roaming the city, bombs are falling from the sky above. It's over when you get caught.
And cellphones in our hands? See the world on cellphone? Internet? laptop? Video chat on Skype, WhatsApp, Messenger? In 1942 no one even dreamed of it. So? How to spend time? The girl wrote a diary every day. The 15-year-old girl wrote a diary every day, wrote about herself and her parents. He also wrote about how his body was changing. He wrote everything frankly.
He wrote-
“Because paper has more patience than people. ”
What a tragic story of a 15-year-old girl! People don't have patience, paper does. People don't respect other people's ideals, religion, but give paper. The girl says everything to the paper!
But the end was not saved. A traitor betrays them. Many of the family of eight were killed. This girl and her elder sister died of typhus fever in the concentration camp. Only the girl's father managed to return alive.
Despite all this, the girl never lost faith in joy, beauty, human greatness, here are some favorite quotes from what the girl wrote. I am sure that you are feeling very bad at this time, now reading the words will change your mind--
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”
....
“Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.”
...
“I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.”
..
“I've found that there is always some beauty left -- in nature, sunshine, freedom, in yourself; these can all help you.”
.
“I don't think of all the misery, but of the beauty that still remains.”
...
“Whoever is happy will make others happy.”
..
“In the long run, the sharpest weapon of all is a kind and gentle spirit.”
“Where there's hope, there's life. It fills us with fresh courage and makes us strong again.”
“In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.”
In the second picture, you can understand why the girl has repeatedly said 'as much beauty as is left'. The window of Chilekotha was covered with dark curtains, but outside the bombed city looked like this.
The girl's name is #Anne_Frank.
Died at the age of 15. Anne Frank died 2 months i.e. 60 days before the release. Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929 and died in 1945.
Anne Frank's diary was written for the last time on Tuesday, August 1, 1944 because on that day Anne Frank and the other 7 people who were with her were captured by Hitler's forces.
